The Basic Court of Pristina has sentenced Serb Dushko Arsic to 13 years in prison on charges of war crimes.
In the charge filed by the Special Prosecutor's Office in November 2022, Asic becomes responsible for the mistreatment of Albanian civilians, injuries, and murder.
Arsic, according to the indictment, participated in the murder of an Albanian civilian in April 1999 in Butovc, Pristina, while torturing another Albanian, then 15 years old, on the same day.
Also, during the months of January-June 1999, together with other Serbian police officers and paramilitary groups, Arsič is accused of having participated in the operations for the expulsion and relocation of Albanians from the Pristina region and then the looting and damage of houses being set on fire.
Arsic had denied the charges during the court process.
