Naim Murseli can be sentenced to a minimum of 30 years in prison for ordering the murder of his wife Liridona Ademaj, an event that occurred on the evening of November 29 in Pristina.
Not ruling out a life sentence, in the Opinion studio, lawyer Jordan Daci says that in Mursel's case, there can be no extenuating circumstances.
"Kosovo has also introduced the life sentence... Undoubtedly, the circumstances are very serious, especially the presence of children, the way he acted, etc. However, the court will have to evaluate many other things and I believe that the courts of Kosovo are very correct in this part and the minimum will be 30 years. I don't think that there are extenuating circumstances, because none of these that we are talking about come under extenuating circumstances."
While the motive of this murder still remains a mystery, for the lawyer this does not matter when it comes to the punishment, since we are dealing with a premeditated murder.
"The motive in this particular case is not important as long as it is a premeditated murder. Motive in special, very rare cases affects. Of course, there can't be murder without a motive, it exists here, but I can't give it a special name, what motive does he have, because if he didn't have a motive, he would be crazy, because only a crazy person kills without a motive" .
