The details of why the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was summoned to the Special Prosecutor's Office are clarified.
According to Kosovo media, Kurti has been called as a witness in a case related to the criminal offense - abuse of official position or authority.
We are talking about the case of state reserves.
The defendants in this case are Irfan Lipovica, Hafiz Gara and Ridvan Muharremi.
Lipovica and Gara are suspected of the criminal offense - misuse of official position or authority, while Ridvan Muharremi is suspected of the criminal offense - providing assistance in the commission of the criminal offense of misuse of office or official authority, writes Kallxo.com.
Two officials of the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara, together with the businessman Ridvan Muharremi, were arrested on 18.08.2023 on suspicion of the offenses - misuse of official duties, as well as - providing assistance in the commission of a criminal offense of abuse of office.
Ridvan Muharremi, Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara were released from the measure of detention by the decision of the Appeal on 31.08.2023 as they were under this measure from 19.08.2023.
The current minister of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Rozeta Hajdari, was also interviewed as a suspect related to the misuse of state reserves on 15.04.2024.
What does the Prosecutor's Office file say about Ridvan Muharremi?
The Prosecution's file for Ridvan Muharremi says that in the period from February 2022 onwards, intentionally and with the purpose of creating conditions and opportunities for the realization of incriminating actions for the defendants Irfan Lipovica and Hafiz Gara, he helped them, by created the conditions, proposed and initially provided for negotiation for fumigation with state reserves.
