Three people have lost their lives and 5 others have been injured as a result of an accident in Kosovo.
According to KlanKosova, the accident occurred in the village of Çubrel in Skenderaj. It is learned that the 3 victims belong to the same family. They are citizens ZG, about 70 years old, AG, about 50 years old and G. G, about 48 years old.
"As a result of the accident, based on the information provided, three civilians lost their lives, while five other people were injured, four of them police officers," the official Police announcement states.
After the tragic accident, Prime Minister Albin Kurti has called on citizens to be careful when driving.
"The news about the traffic accident where 3 people lost their lives on the Mitrovica-Peja regional road gives us great pain.
I would like to express my most sincere condolences for this sad event, addressing the families of the victims and hoping that they have the strength to cope with their loss, and at the same time I wish the 5 injured in this accident a speedy and easy recovery.
"I believe that we will soon have a more complete picture of the case, while I take this opportunity to call for general caution in road traffic, to avoid accidents as much as possible," Kurti writes.
Even the head of Parliament, Glauk Konjufca, expressed his shock at the incident, expressing his condolences to the families of the victims. It should be noted that 4 of the injured are police officers. The Kosovo Police Inspectorate is also involved in the investigation of the case, to determine the causes of the accident.
