Three people have lost their lives and five others have been injured as a result of a tragic accident this evening on the Mitrovica-Peja road in Kosovo.
It is learned that two vehicles were involved in the accident, one of which was a police vehicle. Four of the injured are police officers.
"Tonight at around 18:40, a fatal traffic accident was reported, which occurred on the regional road Mitrovica-Peja, the road segment in the village of Çubrel in Skenderaj. Two vehicles were involved in this accident, one of them an official police vehicle. As a result of the accident, based on the information provided, three civilians lost their lives, while five other people were injured, four of them police officers.
"Police units and management staff have arrived at the scene, while investigators from the regional road traffic unit are investigating the causes of the accident ," the police statement said.
