The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, spoke about the creation of the association.
"The association that is imposed from above is a dictate", said the prime minister of Kosovo, adding that he, as chief executive, cannot form the association of municipalities.
"It is up to the municipalities to make the association", Kurti added.
Kurti, in an interview for Alsat television from North Macedonia, and broadcast on KosovaPress, once again emphasized the need to respect the basic agreement reached last year in Brussels.
He said that official Belgrade should accept Kosovo.
"You can't say I got what I got, I want to get more but you don't exist. They must accept Kosovo, whatever they seek for the Serbs in Kosovo, they must seek within the legal order and the constitution of the Republic of Kosovo", said Kurti.
Kosovo and Serbia reached the Basic Agreement in February 2023 in Brussels. A month later, an agreement was reached on the Annex for the implementation of the agreement.
Kurti also spoke about the security situation in the north of Kosovo, after last year's terrorist attack in Banjska i Zveçani.
