Acting Prime Minister and leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, has thanked citizens for participating in the run-off held yesterday, describing it as evidence of democratic maturity and civic commitment to the country's development.
In a post on social media, Kurti states that by going to the polls, citizens have contributed to democracy and the orientation of public policies in their municipalities.
He invited citizens to henceforth hold mayors accountable for the promises made and for the situation in cities and villages.
Addressing activists of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Kurti emphasized that his party will govern in seven municipalities of the Republic, more than ever before, and that "not even the union of all opponents" could stop the growth of the Movement.
"A lot of work and challenges await us, which means that there are many successes and victories ahead of us," Kurti writes on social media.
