The Democratic League of Kosovo has declared victory in the Pristina Municipality, in Sunday's runoff. Lumir Abdixhiku, chairman of the LDK, said in a press conference that this was a victory of ideas and work.
Abdixhiku said that besides Pristina, LDK also won in Peja, Viti, Dragash and Junik in the runoff, in addition to Lipjan and Istog which it had won in the first round. According to him, with seven municipalities, LDK is the party with the largest number of municipalities with which it will govern.
Meanwhile, the mayor of Pristina, Përparim Rama, has invited his political opponent in these elections, Hajrulla Çeku of the Vetëvendosje Movement, to reflect and be cooperative.
"I invite you to reflect with a spirit of citizenship. Pristina needs cooperation, not blockage. Citizens do not deserve obstacles, but joint work. For this, the citizen has spoken and his word is a decision. Pristina moves beyond. It is a city that does not wait for the future but builds it ," said Rama.
