The spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano, this Wednesday in a press conference confirmed the measures taken against Kosovo due to the situation created in the North.
The European official has stated that these are not sanctions, but are measures that come into force immediately and it is a decision that has been supported by the 27 EU countries.
Stano has stated that these measures are the political consequence of the suspension of high-level meetings and also financial measures, and are removed depending on the steps that the Kurti government will take in terms of normalizing the situation in the north of Kosovo.
" The European Union, in agreement with 27 countries, has prepared a proposal with measures with immediate effect, these are not sanctions, these are measures that are taken immediately. Member States have supported a series of measures. These are the political consequences; suspension of high-level meetings and also financial measures. These measures are temporary and with the possibility of removal, depending on the steps taken by Kurti's government ", said Stano.
