The People's Democratic Party (PDP) in power in Montenegro has supported its deputy, Maja Vukičevic, as the head of the Montenegrin delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), to vote against Kosovo's admission to this organization.
Nikollë Camaj, a member of parliament in Montenegro and a member of the Assembly of the Council of Europe, was in a direct connection to Euronews Albania, where he spoke about this issue.
He emphasized that the effect of this vote will be zero, and the attempt of such political forces will not stop Kosovo towards the EU.
Among other things, he emphasized that if this vote is carried out, the Albanians and this party cannot be together in the government.
"This party cannot be a party with this minister in the government because the government is the one that makes the foreign policy and tomorrow a problem may arise. If this vote is carried out in this way, the Albanians and this party cannot be together in the government and let's see who will be the winner. In any case, we have occupied a little space in the Montenegrin media regarding this issue. We were expecting that we would not be the cause of their vote being against because of our attitude.
We have tried to relativize it a little, understanding this as the right to vote as something personal. What the political entity has done, where the deputy has said that they will vote for a decision on Kosovo, proves that we are dealing with a political structure that will continue with the rhetoric of the 90s, of the last century just to keep close its own Serbian clerical-fascist voter. We are waiting for the government and the parliamentary majority in the coming days, even today, to have a clear position that this vote was accidental", he said.
