Kurti's invitation, meeting between political parties confirmed; will the

The meeting between Prime Minister Albin Kurti and political parties is expected to begin at 4:00 p.m. The meeting was called by Kurti following the Constitutional Court's decision, which obliges political entities to constitute the Kosovo Assembly no later than 30 days later.

Kurti, in a post on the social network, confirmed that he has addressed political parties.

"As the chairman of the Vetëvendosje Movement and on behalf of the largest parliamentary group to emerge from the February 9, 2025 elections, today I addressed all the heads of the entities represented in the ninth legislature, with an invitation to a joint meeting on Saturday at 4:00 PM, in another effort to achieve consensus for the constitution of the Assembly," he writes.

It is not known what the latter's demands or positions will be, however, political parties have already confirmed their participation.

Memli Krasniqi will represent the Democratic Party of Kosovo, as announced by its MP, Përparim Gruda.

"Our chairman, Krasniqi, represents the party at the meeting and the positions that emerge after that meeting are expressed by the chairman," he said.

Likewise, the Democratic League of Kosovo MP, Hykmete Bajrami, has confirmed the participation of this party.

"LDK will participate in the meeting despite the lack of cooperation from the Vetëvendosje Movement," she said.

AAK will be represented by Time Kadrijaj, while its leader, Ramush Haradinaj, called the invitation "illogical."

The leader of the Social Democratic Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, has confirmed that he will participate in the meeting called by Albin Kurti.

Limaj, through a post on social media, said that the Constitutional Court has made it clear that the election of the Speaker of the Assembly is a process that requires political agreement.

"This is what they expect and this is what they deserve!"

Therefore, tomorrow I will be at the table called by the leader of Vetëvendosje, with the same stance I have had since day one: Kosovo needs an agreement, not political theater. Leadership, not calculations.

The path we proposed is becoming inevitable today.

From the right attitude to the solution that is being accepted.

"We have been ready for solutions. And this is what we will offer again," Limaj said.
