A few minutes after the demonstration to mark Vidovdan began, the nationalist chants and songs of Serbs began.
"Kosovo is Serbia" was heard from the participants, who waved the Serbian flag.
Meanwhile, Kosovo Police calls for a peaceful demonstration and appeals for the avoidance of provocations.
The Basic Court in Pristina, on June 12, finally overturned it, deciding that there should be no Serbian symbols and flags on the "Vidovdan" holiday.
In its reasoning, the court said that the decision in question could provoke interethnic tensions, especially if it is perceived that municipal authorities favor one community in violation of the legal order.
Every June 28, Serbs celebrate Vidovdan, what they call the Battle of Kosovo. The celebration begins with a mass at the Gracanica Monastery, before moving to Gazimestan, a few kilometers from Pristina.
