The Kosovo Police has provided new details regarding the robbery of a jewelry store in Suharekë.
Through a press release, the Police say that yesterday on 22.11.2023 at around 3:45 p.m. they were notified of an "Armed robbery" case that was in progress at a jewelry store, on Brigada Street 123, in Suhareka.
After receiving this information, the police, in particular, the nearest patrol went in that direction, arriving very quickly at the scene and encountering the robbers in action.
"The suspects were masked and armed.
As soon as the police patrol arrived at the scene of the incident, the suspects fired at the police, in that case a police officer was slightly injured by the firearm, while another police officer was injured during the action", the announcement states.
The police announce that in the meantime other police reinforcements have arrived at the scene and that from the first data it is suspected that there were four suspects.
"The suspects have left the place and the police have followed them, along the way the suspects have placed various obstacles and managed to escape," the Police announcement continues.
The Regional Directorate of Police in Prizren, in cooperation with other regional directorates, say that they are engaged with all their capacity to clarify the case, specifically the identification, location and arrest of the suspects.
"We also invite all citizens who have any information that can help us in catching the perpetrators of this case to contact the police", it is said, among other things, in the announcement of the Kosovo Police.
