The European Union's Special Envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen, sees the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue as an ongoing process that takes place every day to improve people's lives.
Sorensen told the media outlet "Agenzia Nova" in Italy that since taking office, he has held over 60 official meetings in the region and has been the organizer of two rounds of meetings of chief negotiators in Brussels.
" The process is not always linear and much of it happens behind the scenes, but real progress is being made every day ," he stressed.
According to Sorensen, concrete issues were discussed at these meetings, including economic cooperation, as well as the search and identification of missing persons during the Kosovo war between 1998 and 2000.
As stated in the article, he emphasized that the process is not always linear and much of the work takes place behind the scenes, as he says, but real progress is being made every day.
" The dialogue is precisely the platform on which Kosovo and Serbia can address their differences calmly and constructively. Therefore, we encourage both Kosovo and Serbia to refrain from public exchanges in order to fully utilize this platform and focus on implementing their commitments agreed in the dialogue," said Sorensen.
