A few days after he was arrested by the police of Tirana at the request of the Special Court of Kosovo, the Court of Tirana has granted security measures to former KLA member Dritan Goxhajn.
The Tirana court set the security measure of '40 days of detention in prison' for former KLA soldier, Dritan Goxhaj. In the courtroom, he stated that he did not do anything illegal.
The black squads have requested additional information from the Kosovo judiciary regarding the charges brought against the former KLA soldier. In front of the black squads, Goxhaj has claimed that he has not done anything illegal except for some writings on social networks. He is wanted by the Kosovo authorities for witness intimidation.
For Dritan Goxhajt, the Special Court of Kosovo has issued an arrest warrant, as it accuses him of revealing the names of witnesses in several cases previously opened by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo.
Dritan Goxhaj is expected to be extradited to the Republic of Kosovo in the coming weeks.
Who is Dritan Goxhaj?
Dritan Goxhaj joined the KLA as an officer of the Albanian Army at the aviation school and was authorized by the General Staff to maintain contact with the command of the American Forces in Albania.
He is the son of the soldier Dilaver Goxhaj, who voluntarily joined the KLA, following the request of the KLA General Staff, when he was entrusted with the position of Deputy Chief of the KLA General Staff and, with the commitment of NATO in the war, he was entrusted with the duty of the cooperation officer with NATO.
