The ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, has reiterated the demands for the reduction of tensions in the north of Kosovo and the implementation of the Ohrid agreement.
According to him, the complete de-escalation of the situation in the North of the country will help Kosovo to achieve Euro-Atlantic integration.
" We think it is important to achieve further de-escalation in the north and to avoid cases where violent acts come our way. This helps Kosovo to achieve Euro-Atlantic integration. There is an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. This is the Ohrid agreement , and our focus is to implement this agreement by both parties. We expect the Government of Kosovo to create the circumstances and take actions that will de-escalate the situation in which opportunities are created to fulfill the conditions to implement the responsibilities of two states ", he says.
