Former KLA fighter Dritan Goxhaj said in "Now with Erla Mëhillin" in Euronews Albania that Kosovo will indeed receive 240 Javelin missiles, but it will not receive them all at the same time.
According to him, the purchase of missiles will be extended in time, and for this year Kosovo will receive only 40 missiles, which at no time will be able to be used without the approval of NATO.
" We need to clarify something, the approval by the State Department for 240 Javelin missiles does not mean that it will receive them immediately. Looking at the budget that has allocated 75 million dollars this year, only 40 pieces will come this year, because 1 missile costs 180 thousand dollars. If we make an automatic division, it falls to almost 40 pieces received this year.
In total it will take 240 but this will stretch in time. Therefore, it has been determined in cooperation with NATO, so it will be taken gradually and their use will always be with the approval of NATO. Kosovo will not be able to use them as it wishes or when it sees fit. These missiles will be released from KSF bases only with the approval of NATO.
