Three days ago, Kosovo's media spread the news that there was a plan to assassinate Prime Minister Albin Kurti during his visit to Skopje.
Kurti himself confirmed the news, while the Macedonian capital was "armored" for its security.
The security expert, Drizan Shala, said that the information about such a plan against Kurt had come from intelligence services of foreign countries.
" As for the information released to the public, the intelligence services of our partners had information that the moment Kurti would land at the airport and move towards Skopje, there would be an assassination attempt on him. Then these friendly agencies provided information to the Kosovo authorities. At the moment that the information has passed to the Macedonian side, the available forces have been increased to escort the Prime Minister of Kosovo with the escort "- said Shala.
According to him, the possibility of such an assassination is related to the decisions that Kurti has recently taken as Prime Minister of Kosovo by banning the Serbian dinar, which was a way of financing criminal groups in the country.
"We know that the institutional leaders of Kosovo are attacked by the Serbian structures that do not find a method and a way to express their anger and hinder the development of Kosovo. The Prime Minister has taken decisions that are not in the interest of official Belgrade and as a result those who threaten him are individuals directly connected with Serbia" - added the expert who emphasized that in the last 48 hours strict security measures have been taken for Kurti.
Political scientist Nezir Kraki was of the same opinion as to the authorship of this assassination plan. He said that only Serbia can have such a plan in order to achieve its political goals and eliminate any obstacles.
" If there are plans for something like this to happen, it should be the Serbian state apparatus, as it was in the attack in Banjska. Vucic is one of those who glorified Milosevic. We are dealing with the last Serbian political caste that spares no means to achieve its political goals. They do not have the power to take power and to govern, but goals wrapped in geographical myths" - said Kraki.
The political scientist emphasized that despite the fact that Kurti's decision to remove the dinar seems hasty, time has given him the right in other similar decisions, such as the ban on the use of Serbian license plates.
