The chairman of the Social Democratic Initiative, Fatmir Limaj, has avoided comments regarding discussions about a possible agreement with the Vetëvendosje Movement.
In front of journalists, he did not provide details and did not stop to comment more extensively, but settled for a brief statement saying that "Kosovo will gain its institutions."
He said these words upon arriving at the Assembly, where the fourth continuation of the constitutive session is expected to be held.
Meanwhile, Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Abelard Tahiri said that there is no decision on the vote for the speaker of parliament.
"If the Democratic Party were to vote for a candidate, it is the party's decision, so we have no decision on whether we will vote."
"For now, we have the same positions. What is happening in this legislature has never happened in our parliamentary history that the speaker of parliament is elected with a parliamentary majority. Today we will see whether they will achieve it or not," said Tahiri.
LDK has also stated that it will not vote for Albulena Haxhiu for Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly. Abdixhiku said that LDK has not changed its position.
The Vetëvendosje Movement is expected to once again nominate Albulena Haxhiu for Speaker of the Parliament, but it is not clear whether she has the necessary votes.
Haxhiu failed to be elected in the April 19 session, after receiving only 57 votes out of the necessary 61 in two consecutive ballots.
The constitutive session, according to the Assembly's regulations, ends with their election of the president and vice-presidents.
If the Assembly is constituted today at the fourth attempt, then the way will be opened for the formation of a new Government.
