The Serbian media " Blic.rs " writes that the Serbs in Kosovo will gather soon and begin the formation of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority.
From unofficial sources, it is known that the Serbs will hold an Assembly in which they will announce the Association.
"The plan is to soon begin the formation of the Association of Serbian Municipalities and its bodies. Dragisha Milović, a prominent doctor and former mayor of the Municipality of Zveçan, will be proposed for the first mayor", it says, among other things.
It is reported that recent events in the north of Kosovo have influenced this decision.
"The Brussels agreement was signed more than 10 years ago and the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority has not been formed, and after everything we have endured in the last few days, it is clear that no one really wants it: neither the government in Pristina, nor the international community. Therefore, we will take matters into our own hands", according to the source of "Blic".
According to Blic, the structure of the Association of Municipalities with a Serbian majority will consist of the Assembly, the President, the Mayor, the Council, the Board, the Administration and the Complaints Office.
The Assembly, as the highest body, will consist of representatives appointed by each assembly of the member municipalities from among the elected councilors. The president will be assisted by the vice president. The president and vice-president will be elected by the assembly from among the members of the participating municipal assemblies and the mayors of their municipalities.
The council will consist of a maximum of 30 members from among the residents of the member municipalities, including all the mayors of the member municipalities, while the board will consist of seven members elected by the assembly from among the mayors and residents of the member municipalities . The community will also have an administration, headed by a chief, as well as a Complaints Office, which will be mandated to review complaints about the goals.
