The KFOR mission has condemned the attacks on journalists and cameramen in the north of Kosovo, while calling on all parties to refrain.
Yesterday, journalists were raped and attacked with deafening bombs.
" Freedom of the press and freedom of expression are fundamental values that must be respected by all. We call on all parties to refrain from violence or further actions that could lead to further escalation and to ensure that the media can carry out their essential work safely. "KFOR remains the third responder and the Kosovo Police remains responsible for ensuring the rule of law throughout Kosovo ," the communiqué states.
KFOR has announced that the commander is in regular contact with all the main counterparts, including representatives of security institutions and organizations in Kosovo, as well as with representatives of the Armed Forces of Serbia, the EU Mission for the Rule of Law (EULEX), OSCE and the diplomatic community.
