Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani have warned of new attacks like that of Banjka in the north of Kosovo. Even the Minister of Defense of Kosovo, Ejup Maqedonci, expressed the same attitude with them during a television interview.
Minister Macedonia emphasized that Kosovo continues to remain threatened not only by attacks like the one in Banjska, but also by the hegemonic approach of the institutions of Serbia in relation to the Republic of Kosovo.
He pointed out that three of the four brigades of the Serbian army are located along the southern border of this country, that is, on the border with Kosovo.
" These 3 brigades have an operational extension along the border with Kosovo. This extension is presented through the establishment of 48 forward operational bases of the army and gendarmerie along the entire border line , "said Macedonci.
The minister emphasized that this presence of the Serbian army is a danger not only for the Republic of Kosovo, but for the entire Western Balkans.
" They have been there for years, but they are there to threaten the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country. It is very easy for armed groups to enter the territory of Kosovo. A synchronization with the aim of developing a hybrid war in relation to Kosovo" , he said.
However, Macedonia emphasized that the measures taken by Kosovo have been taken.
"In two years, we have an extension of law and order in the north of the country. This pretense was made because we had continuous information about destabilization attempts by terrorist organizations", he added in "A2CNN".
As the minister clarified, the entire territory in the north has been combed by the police, as he added that Kosovo has extensive intelligence in that area.
