The murder of Liridona Murseli in Kosovo has taken a surprising turn worthy of a movie script!
And the scenario actually bears an eerie resemblance to the case of Greek pilot Babis Anagnostopoulos who killed his wife, 20-year-old British Caroline Crouch in front of their 11-month-old daughter in May 2021, in Greece.
Caroline suffocated herself with a pillow in their home in Athens, with Anagnostopoulos staging a robbery and even hanging the couple's dog Roxy in an attempt to cover his tracks. He was arrested a month later after his wife's last service.
Naim Murseli also implemented such scenarios for the murder of his wife Liridona.
The 33-year-old woman was killed on Wednesday evening in Pristina while she was driving with her husband Naim Murseli and their two small children.
A person came forward and demanded valuables, and under unclear circumstances, as Naim Murseli took his two children and got out of the car, his 30-year-old wife was shot dead.
Very quickly through social networks, but also the media in Kosovo, experts in the field raised doubts that the murder could have been staged.
The main suspicions fell on the victim's husband. Not even 48 hours after the serious event, the police in Kosovo arrested two people, one of whom was her husband, Naim Murseli.
While the other arrested person is Granit Plava, the "robber" who shot at the young woman.
The author has stated that he was paid by Naim Murseli to deprive Liridona of her life, the media in Kosovo write, adding that 33-year-old Naim Murseli allegedly paid his fellow villager 30,000 euros to commit the murder.
The police were able to secure the footage when the two suspected perpetrators meet before the crime. Even Mursel's last phone communication turns out to be exactly with the person he agreed with.
During the evening hours, Naim Murseli admitted that he ordered the murder.
He gave 15,000 Euros to Plava before the murder and the rest, 15,000 Euros, he would give after the execution of Liridona.
During the evening hours, Kushtrim Kokalla, a member of the Kosovo Security Force, was also captured. Kokalla is the grandson of Naim Murseli. At the moment it is not clear what his role is in this serious event, however he is suspected as an accomplice in crime.
The event that shocked Kosovo, but not only is a clear parallel with the "Babis Anagnostopoulos" case.
But while in the case of the Greek pilot it took the investigators a month to discover the truth, in the case of Mursel the "show" lasted only 24 hours.
However, during this time, Naim Murseli had to play the role and this Friday appeared in front of the cameras, as he escorted the mother of his two children to her last apartment.
Like Naimi, so did Babis Anagnostopoulos who appeared for the media even hugging his former mother-in-law.
The cause of this crime that shocked the entire public opinion is still unknown, but it is known that the couple had been married for 12 years.
Liridona herself wrote on her Instagram profile: "Family is everything."
