The hearings in the case of former KLA leaders continue at the Hague Court, while a day ago, 180-year prison sentences were handed down for 4 defendants: Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi.
During today's session, the Prosecution is claiming that Thaçi has lied to internationals several times, therefore the latter's statements should be taken with caution regarding the KLA, the organization's command, and the role of former superiors in it.
“They didn’t know that he [Thaci] could make military appointments…What James Rubin, Wesley Clark and other internationals don’t understand is that Thaci was able to mask what was happening in reality and this influenced their worldview to truly understand how the KLA functioned.
"In particular, Rubin and Clark showed that they had no interest in understanding what was happening in reality and believed that their work was on the right side of history and did not confront what this panel is now hearing," the Prosecution said.
