On the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, held a meeting with US Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Chris Murphy, Thom Tillis and Ruben Gallego.
At this meeting, Kurti was accompanied by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Glauk Konjufca, as well as the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the United States of America, describing it as Kosovo's main ally. He noted the country's progress in democratic and economic terms, as well as the institutional commitment to strengthening the rule of law.
The meeting also discussed Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic orientation and ongoing efforts for membership in NATO and the European Union.
Regarding relations with Serbia, Kurti stressed the importance of handing over Milan Radoićić to face justice in Kosovo, in connection with the organization and execution of the armed attack in Banjska on September 24, 2023.
He also mentioned the need to sign the Basic Agreement and withdraw the letter from former Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić, which, according to him, states that the territorial integrity of Kosovo will not be respected.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Kosovo delegation's engagements at the Munich Security Conference, one of the most important international forums for security and foreign policy issues.
