Sanctions, EU: The measures will be lifted as soon as Kosovo contributes to calming the situation

The head of the EU in Kosovo, Tomas Szunyog, spoke at the European Integration Commission about the current situation in the north, Kosovo-EU relations, as well as about the EU's latest measures towards Kosovo.

Regarding the latter, he stated that the measures are temporary and will be removed when Kosovo contributes to calming the situation in the North.

"I explained to the Commission that the EU continues to support Kosovo on its European path and these measures will be canceled as soon as Kosovo contributes to the de-escalation of the situation in the north, organizes new local elections and fully engages in dialogue". he said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kurti, in the meeting he had with the EU emissary, Miroslav Lajçak, said that these measures are unfair.
