US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, conveyed a message of congratulations to the people of Kosovo on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of Independence, on behalf of the United States of America.
In a statement released by the State Department, he reaffirmed US support for Kosovo's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Rubio underlined that Washington aims to deepen economic cooperation with Pristina, with the aim of increasing prosperity for both countries.
He also praised Kosovo's commitment to supporting American efforts to address global challenges. At the same time, he mentioned Kosovo's role as a founding member of the Peace Board, describing this as an important element of the country's international engagement.
At the end of the message, Rubio expressed his readiness to further strengthen cooperation in the coming years and confirmed the US's stance alongside Kosovo in the process of building a secure and sustainable future.
"The United States remains steadfast in its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Kosovo, and we look forward to expanding economic ties that will enhance the prosperity of both our nations.
"As Kosovo marks this important anniversary, we look forward to even stronger cooperation in the years to come. The United States stands with Kosovo as it continues to build a secure and prosperous future," Rubio's message said.
