
The chairman of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, has declared that from today his party will start the boycott and will not vote either in plenary sessions or in commissions.
After the meeting of the governing council, he said that they have received several commitments for a series of actions which they will follow until early elections are reached. He added that the situation in Kosovo is not normal and that this has come as a result of the government's approach to international demands.
" From today, we demand that, as soon as possible, the announcement of the date of early general elections be discussed, either through the resignation of Prime Minister Albin Kurti, or through the dissolution of the Kosovo Assembly, because this parliamentary majority and the previous elections they did not produce these institutions to destroy every relationship of Kosovo with its Western allies and partners. Second, from today we will not vote in any forum of the Assembly of Kosovo. Neither in the commission nor in plenary sessions, neither laws nor decisions, nor resolutions, nor international agreements. Nothing else because the situation in Kosovo is not normal and we cannot simulate normality ", said Krasniqi.
The Governing Council of the Democratic Party of Kosovo has approved the Declaration of 10 points, through which PDK demands the holding of early general elections and has decided to suspend any official communication with Prime Minister Albin Kurti and President Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, except in situations extraordinary or emergency.
