The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, reacted to today's explosion in the north of Mitrovica.
During the inauguration of the works on the Pristina-Podujevë road, Kurti said that until today 45 people have been identified, who have participated in violent attacks against KFOR soldiers, Kosovo Police and journalists, and who have caused general danger by used different weapons.
" You saw on June 23 what weaponry was confiscated from a vehicle with Belgrade license plates that belongs to the public enterprise Serbian Railways, and which is coming out now after it belonged to the leader Pavićević of the Northern Brigade, which was declared a terrorist organization. There are these dozens of prominent criminals, and 45 of them have been correctly identified by our security agencies, and this does not mean that there are not more, but the minimum is 45, and not even a quarter of them are in prison for this reason. we have this situation ", said Kurti.
The Prime Minister added that peace and security should not come at the expense of legality and constitutionality.
" Serbian citizens are the most afraid of these criminals, who send us supporting information every time the law operates because they know that the Kosovo Police is professional. They inform us with messages that they are not afraid of the Kosovo Police, but of the pressure, blackmail, oppression, threats of these criminals of the organizations that were declared terrorist" , said Kurti.
The powerful explosion occurred shortly after midnight at the "Three Skyscrapers" in the north of Mitrovica. Fortunately, there were no injuries and no material damage.
