The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will travel to Brussels today to participate in the meeting called by the high representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, after the increase in tensions in the north of Kosovo.
"Tomorrow I will travel from Rome to Brussels, confirming my participation in the high-level dialogue convened by High Representative Borrell. I will insist on the immediate and unconditional release of the three [Kosovo] policemen who are being held hostage by Serbia, the escalation of the situation and the normalization of relations," Kurti wrote on Twitter.
The two leaders of Kosovo and Serbia will travel to Brussels and it is learned that they will have separate meetings with the EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security, Josep Borrell.
The European Union has not yet been able to confirm when the meeting between the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will take place, or whether this meeting will take place at all this week.
The spokesman of the European Union for foreign policy and security issues, Peter Stano, during a press conference in Brussels, said that the parties have not yet formally confirmed the participation in this meeting, therefore he cannot specify the day or the time. when the meeting may take place.
In the EU, they continue to repeat the call for a meeting between these two leaders so that they prove that they are able to take responsibility and seek a way out of the current situation.
