
The Kosovo Police officer with the rank of sergeant, Afrim Bunjaku, was given his last farewell in a state ceremony.
Bunjak was killed by Serbian terrorists the day before in Banjcka, in the north of Kosovo. The police officer will be laid to rest in the cemetery of Samadrexë village in Vushtrri.
Present at the funeral ceremony were the President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani, the Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the Speaker of Parliament Glauk Konjufca and other dignitaries.
President Osmani said that police officer Bunjaku made the most sublime sacrifice by becoming a hero of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Kurti considered Afrim Bunjak's fall in office a heroism and a sacrifice in Kosovo's battle to guarantee law and constitutionality.
While Speaker of Parliament Konjufca said that Afrim Bunjaku fell in charge as a worthy officer of the Republic in defense of freedom and independence.
