
The visit of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti to North Macedonia has recently prompted a series of reactions from public opinion in both countries. In Skopje, dissatisfaction was noticed in the major Albanian parties, but mostly in the Macedonian ones.
The country's president, Pendarovski, declared that nationalist statements and banners should be condemned, while Prime Minister Kovacevski's office was of the same opinion, saying that some developments in these meetings were unacceptable. There was also the reaction of Serbian President Aleksandar Vučič who claimed that Kurti "promoted Great Albania" there.
Many criticisms have been answered by Përparim Kryeziu, the spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, who stated that Kurti had been invited by the mayor of the Municipality of Çairi, Visar Ganiu and the mayor of the Municipality of Tetova, Bilall Kasami on the occasion of the re-naming of a road in Skopje with the name of the Adem Demaçi activity and the inauguration of the road connecting the village of Vicë with the village of Sellcë.
