The chief prosecutor of Pristina, Kujtim Munishi, has spoken about the murder of Liridona Ademaj.
He emphasized that the investigations have taken the right direction, underlining that they can last up to two years.
Munishi emphasized that the case is being handled by a Serbian prosecutor, since the previous prosecutor submitted the case herself.
"The investigations have taken the right direction and the work that has been done so far has been achieved. I cannot say exactly how long this event will take specifically, but for such investigations and files it may take up to two hours of time, even as it is legally provided for. The investigation has reached a certain point, but I don't have an exact date for its completion, and I can't share details of what we've uncovered so far due to investigative secrecy. I can guarantee that all the leads that can lead to the complete clarification of the case are being investigated.
I cannot say whether there will be other people who will be accompanied or arrested for this event that shocked the entire public opinion. As for the prosecutor of the case, it is true that she is Serbian and is investigating the case alone. If there will be a need to increase the team, of course this will happen.
The previous prosecutor's office submitted the case itself, since the incident happened when she was on duty, she did the preliminary investigations and that's where her work ended. Then, based on the legal procedures, ordinal numbers planned earlier are reviewed and this time the case belonged to the current prosecutor. At the end of the entire investigative process, there will be a notification from the Prosecutor's Office of Pristina about the murder of Liridona Ademaj," he told Euronews Albania.
