The murder of Liridona Ademajt, the former Kosovo Police officer: There is

Former Kosovo Police officer Refki Morina and lawyer Shkëlqim Jakupi have spoken about the murder of 30-year-old Liridona Ademaj-Murseli.

According to Morina, the police and the prosecution already have enough facts and evidence to argue who is the author of the crime.

The evidence will go to the court and then the decision will be given.

"The facts, testimonies, witnesses and the defendant as well as the accused person will be declared in court. Other people will also have their say. Usually the perpetrators of the events do not admit their guilt and try to avoid criminal responsibility. The Kosovo police and the prosecution have sufficient evidence and facts that argue who is the author of the crime", said Morina.

While the lawyer Shkëlqim Jakupi has said that procedurally the prosecution is within the deadline and according to him it has up to two years.

"The prosecutor's office has a term of up to two years, but it can take an additional year. We are dealing with a very serious case. And the determination of punishments for these criminal offenses ranges from a minimum of ten years to life imprisonment. That's why the prosecution has a special care in such cases", said Jakupi.

As for the case of the murder of Liridona Ademaj, lawyer Jakupi explained that the prosecution does not have problems with discovering the way the criminal offense was committed, but with discovering the causes that led to its commission.

"For the prosecution and the justice system itself, it is very important to determine and find, discover the motive, the purpose of this criminal offense, due to the circulation of news, words and media reporting. We assume, if the criminal offense is connected with the benefit of the property or we assume with the coverage of another criminal offense", emphasized Jakupi.

Naim Murseli, the suspect for the murder of his wife, Liridona Ademaj, was questioned on Wednesday at the Prishtina Basic Prosecutor's Office.

Murseli and two others, Granit Plava and Kushtroim Kokalla, are in custody on suspicion of murdering Liridona Ademaj.

Liridona Ademaj was killed on November 29 last year in Pristina.
