Cardi B is known for being a very bold figure with her fashion and body, but a recent experiment turned into a costly mistake. The rapper revealed that a "butt piercing" she got earlier this year ended in an unexpected accident when the expensive diamond she was using was accidentally flushed down the toilet.
In January, Cardi shared a picture of the unconventional piercing on social media.
The look featured a silver barbell positioned atop her buttocks, which she later adorned with a brilliant diamond worth around £11,000 (approximately $13,000). But the result didn't go as planned.
“It was really cool,” Cardi admitted. “But I wouldn’t recommend it to people. It cost me $13,000 because it was real diamonds, but you know what? It went down the toilet. It was like a month later. I was looking around in my pants and underwear and then, yeah, it went down the toilet.”
The rapper confessed that losing the diamond ended her enthusiasm for piercing.
"I haven't redone it yet. I haven't been in the mood," she said.
Although Cardi has built a reputation for music and videos that celebrate late nights, clubbing and wild parties, she also revealed that her real life is much more laid-back than her public persona suggests. Speaking on the podcast Call Her Daddy , she joked that she's become somewhat of a homebody.
“I get sleepy. I’m a grandma,” Cardi said with a laugh. “I almost fell asleep in the club. If the music’s not right, we leave. I’m like, ‘No, I just want to go to bed.’”
These days, with her growing family and multiple business ventures, Cardi seems more focused on comfort and balance than nightlife.
