French rapper Zola, 26, has been arrested by French police on suspicion of kidnapping and aggravated assault on a 19-year-old man, who according to local media was a big fan of the artist.
The serious incident is suspected to have occurred at the rapper's apartment in Seine-et-Marne.
According to "Le Parisien", the young man had gone near Zola's house in the hope of taking a photo, but the situation turned extremely violent.
Police arrested Zola and three others after the young man claimed he had been brutally attacked. The artist reportedly left the apartment with eight masked and armed men, scaring the young man, who tried to escape. But he was caught in the street, dragged away by force, and taken back to the rapper's house.
There, according to the 19-year-old's testimony, the two-hour ordeal began. The young man was forced to undress, while his clothes were burned before his eyes. Then, Zola and his bodyguards physically raped him, even putting a gun in his mouth.
The violence escalated further in the basement of the apartment, where the attackers allegedly fired a volley of gunfire at the 19-year-old. Before letting him leave, his phone and bank card were taken, while his vehicle was found damaged: with flat tires and broken mirrors.
According to reports, the group escorted the young man to his car, threatening him with death and warning him not to go to the police. The young man then sought refuge with relatives living nearby.
Investigations into the serious incident continue, while authorities are expected to make further decisions in the coming days.
