DailyMail has published footage of a burglar stalking a woman while she slept naked in her home on the Costa del Sol in Spain.
Homeowners Pilar and Alex discovered they had been robbed after €300 went missing from their Marbella home on June 2.
When the couple turned on their security cameras, they made an even more disturbing discovery as the footage showed a masked thief standing over their bed while they slept.
In the footage released by the couple, the thief is seen returning to the couple's room several times over a 32-minute period. But the thief seemed fixated on Pilar, shining a light at her several times.
“He entered our bedroom 8 times to look at my private parts,” she told local media after deciding to release the footage in the hope of catching the “maniacal predator.” Local police are now investigating the case and analyzing security footage to identify the suspect, but no arrests have been made yet.
The thief reportedly took 300 euros from the couple's home, but did not steal any other valuables, leading Pilar to believe that his intentions were not to rob the couple's home, but rather to rob her while she slept.
Pilar's 18-year-old son was also sleeping in the next room at the time of the incident.
"That man didn't come to my house to steal, he came to do something to me," she told local media. "I was alone last night. What if he had come then?"
Her partner Alex told how Pilar "felt violated" and called the thief a "sick predator."
Pilar has also revealed how this horrific experience has affected her psychologically and described how she now suffers from recurring nightmares and has to sleep with all the doors and windows closed.
She is also undergoing psychological treatment to cope with the trauma she has suffered.
It is believed the thief entered the home through a patio door. The horrific incident in the Spanish town comes as residents have been warned to beef up their security systems after falling prey to a "terrible" thief who remains on the run.
The thief appears to wear no shoes and only socks during his raids, apparently to avoid detection inside the house of his presence.
