Requesting parole, the court rejects P.Diddy's request for the fifth time

Famous American rapper and producer, Sean “Diddy” Combs, has faced another rejection from the American justice system. A federal judge has rejected his request for parole, leaving him to remain at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, where he has been held since his arrest in September 2024.

According to documents obtained by PEOPLE magazine, Judge Arun Subramanian stated that Combs has failed to prove that he does not pose a flight risk or the safety of others if released.

“The court must find by clear and convincing evidence that the person is not likely to flee or pose a danger to the safety of any person or the community if released,” the ruling said. Among other things, the judge added that Combs’ case does not meet the criteria for “extraordinary circumstances” that would justify a conditional release, such as advanced age or a serious medical condition requiring specialized treatment.

The ruling comes days after his ex-girlfriend, Virginia “Gina” Huynh, referred to as “Victim 3” in the indictment, sent a letter to the court asking for Combs to be released on parole. In her letter, Huynh identified herself by name for the first time and asked that he be released to be near his family and continue his responsibilities, under court supervision.
