Meghan Markle will face the court again. The Duchess of Sussex is continuing to fight her sister's defamation suit.
A defamation claim by her sister dates back to March 2022. A year later, the Duchess of Sussex is ready to return to the courtroom to tell her side of the story, finally closing the case with sister.
Both sides have requested a court date to resolve the dispute and Meghan truly believes the case will be settled.
Samantha claims she was a key figure in Meghan's upbringing, and she points out that her father and mother have also been misrepresented.
"I was with my mother during the week and my father at the weekend. "My father lived alone and he had two grown children who had left his home," Meghan told Netflix.
However, in a Newsweek filing, Samantha claimed that this statement was a hoax and that Meghan actually lived with her father full-time and only visited her mother on weekends. She also believes she was involved in Meghan's upbringing.
"When Meghan was in junior high school, Samantha lived with her and was always home when Meghan got home from school," Samantha's lawyer told Newsweek.
"After school, Samantha and Thomas Markle helped her with her homework," the lawyer continued.
A trial date for the case has not yet been announced.
