Nelly, the famous rapper of the hits "Dilemma", "Just a Dream", etc., has been arrested.
TMZ reports that police took Nelly into custody for multiple violations at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday in the St. Louis area.
KRCG News says authorities arrested Nelly, formerly known as Cornell Haynes II, for possession of ecstasy pills.
TMZ also obtained a photo of the musician, showing him with "bloodshot" eyes, wearing a black hoodie over a white shirt.
Authorities detained "Ride Wit Me" at the Maryland Heights Police Department, but later released him.
This is not the first accusation of the singer. He has faced multiple accusations of sexual assault. In October 2017, Nelly was arrested after a woman named Monique Greene claimed the rapper sexually assaulted her on a tour bus in Washington.
In a statement to The Blast, the Auburn Police Department confirmed that the rapper had been arrested. He was later released from police custody while authorities continued to investigate.
