IT expert Tomi Kallanxhi has introduced the artificial intelligence candidate for mayor of Tirana. It is called Tir ANA (Tirana Algorithmic Neural Assistant) and is the product of Denisa Kele, Tomi Kallanxhi and Besmir Semanaj, an intelligent system that aims to revolutionize the way a city is run.
According to them, "TirANA" is a digital assistant with advanced algorithms, capable of analyzing data, understanding citizens' needs, and providing immediate solutions to urban, economic, and environmental issues.
"We believe that Tirana needs a new approach, based on transparency, efficiency and accountability," the team's official statement reads.
Behind this project is a group of experts from various fields – technology, urban planning, transportation, justice, economics, and public services – who believe that AI can become the most powerful ally of the modern city.
This development comes a few months after the announcement of Albania's first female Minister of Artificial Intelligence, Diella, and many see this as the beginning of a new era, where politics and technology come together to create a smarter and fairer administration.
