England missed out on another European final, being dominated by De la Fuente's Spain, who secured their fourth ever European title with a 2-1 success in Berlin.
After the match, the coach of the "3 Lions", Gareth Southgate, expressed his disappointment, while he is unclear about his future at the head of the "Three Lions".
" It is not the moment to talk about my future, it is not the moment to discuss this topic. I need to talk to the right people. But I repeat: this is not the moment ," said Gareth Southgate first.
As for the lost final, he said that his team did not have enough time to prepare the match, given that Spain had 1 day more rest.
" The final? " Of course, it is a disadvantage to have one less day to prepare the final. But we were in the game for about 80 minutes. We will need some time to forget this loss ", said the England coach.
Southgate has been in charge of England since 2016, but his current contract expires in December.
