Violence sits cross-legged in Brazilian football. One person has died while 17 others have been injured by clashes between Palmeiras and Cruzeiro fans. According to recent reports, Palmeiras supporters have caused chaos, forcing the police to intervene.
" According to preliminary information, Kruzeiro fans were ambushed by organized Palmeiras fans ," the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reports.
The Cruzeiro fan who died was 30 years old. His name was not released by local authorities, but TV Globo and g1 revealed that the victim was Jose Viktor Miranda, 30.
This is not the first time that these two fans have clashed with each other. Palmeiras and Cruzeiro fans have a history of conflict, dating back to 1988, between the Mança Verde and the Blue Mafia.
