For the first time in 11 years, the red and black national team will return to Serbia on October 11 to play one of the most important matches of this World Cup qualifiers against the home team.
Armand Duka, the number 1 player in Albanian football, tells "Top Channel" how he is experiencing this transfer with high fever.
" There is no national team match that does not have maximum emotion, but when it comes to being on the verge of achieving an objective or fighting for points, things become emotional. The match against Serbia because it gives us a chance to go to the "Play Off" is very important, all the other things, neither I nor the players want to have in their memory, our goal is sports ," says Armand Duka.
Will this be the national team's crossroads that decides our World Cup and Silvinho's future?
"It is not true that we have decided whether or not to win this match, Silvinjo will decide his fate. What we have said is that if we qualify there is no motive to discuss compromising or changing the staff. If we do not qualify there will undoubtedly be discussions either from us, from his staff or himself. So this is not the match that will decide whether or not Silvinjo will be further or not."
Do you see the move of the match from Belgrade to Leskovac as a measure taken by them for internal problems or a sporting tactic that gives them an advantage?
"I don't see any major advantage or disadvantage in moving the venue where the match will take place, the important thing is that it be a very good field where players can express themselves with good conditions and that's it."
From internal analysis of situations, whether in our national team camp or conversations with the coach, how do you predict it?
"A win would really give us a safer step towards the World Cup playoffs, but a draw keeps us in the game. It's difficult, but I have positive feelings without wanting to exaggerate. I have faith in the group and the group spirit that we have. We don't have extraordinary quality, but we have better quality and a better group than Serbia, so I really have good feelings," concludes Duka.
