The Turkish media have discovered very interesting behind-the-scenes regarding the departure of Fernando Santos from Besiktas and Ernest Muçi, who joined this team in the winter market. Apparently, the Portuguese coach's rifts with the club's leaders had started with the discussions about the future of the Albanian footballer.
Santos was the one who insisted on the approach of Muci in January, but now it seems that he was one of those who insisted that he be sold in the face of the important economic offers that the club had received just a few months after signing him.
Turkish media insist that the Portuguese coach had a clash with the president of the club, Hasan Arat, about the possibility of selling Muchi for 20 million euros.
"Every one of our players should be for sale, especially if one doubles his value in such a short time. These opportunities do not appear often", was the criticism of the Portuguese coach, after learning that Arat had rejected such an offer for Muchi, bought for 10 million euros from Legia Warsaw.
