Dutch Red Bull Racing driver Max Verstappen won the Arabian Grand Prix in Formula 1 this evening. This is the second success of the season for the 3-time world champion, dominating the Jeddah circuit.
He left behind his teammate, Mexican Sergio Perez (second), which confirms that the Red Bull car is elusive this season. This duo repeated the result of the first race of the season in Bahrain, in another double triumph, while a Ferrari climbed to the podium again, that of Charles Leclerc (third).
The race was exciting in its first half also thanks to the entry of the safety car on the track, which brought about some changes in the standings. However, Vershtapen manages to regain the lead that he lost for a few laps, keeping the lead until the end, even separating significantly from Perez.
The Mexican overtakes Leclerc in the first laps and comes second again, while the Ferrari is satisfied with third place, leaving behind Oskar Piastri with McLaren (fourth). Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) ranked fifth, followed by George Russell with Mercedes (sixth) and Oliver Berman with Ferrari (seventh).
The 18-year-old British pilot who debuted in the "redhead" in Formula 1 (replacing Carlos Sainz, operated the day before) received the first points of his career and was voted "the best driver of the race". Lando Norris (McLaren), Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Niko Hulkenberg (Has) are also in the points zone.
