
British McLaren driver Lando Norris secured pole position this afternoon at the Zandvort circuit for the Formula 1 Dutch Grand Prix. He set a time of 1'09”673, being the fastest on the track.
A dominance of the British car, which also placed its other pilot, Oskar Piastri, in third place. Local driver Max Verstappen with Red Bull (second) was ranked between the two McLaren cars, which somewhat disappointed his fans.
For Norris, this is "pole position" no. 4 in his career, confirming the good moment McLaren is having. In fourth place was the British George Russell with Mercedes, who left Mexican Sergio Perez with Red Bull (fifth).
Only the sixth Charles Leclerc with Ferrari, almost 8 tenths lower than Norris, while the best "top-10" were also ranked Fernando Alonso, Alexander Albon, Lens Stroll and Pier Gasli.
Luis Hemilton with Mercedes was disappointed in these official tests, which ranked 12th. Carlos Sainz with Ferrari also did poorly, in 11th place. On Sunday at 15:00, the Dutch race will take place.
