For the first time in history, both Albania and Kosovo are going together to the play-off stage of a World Cup.
The Albanian Football Federation, through a reaction on social networks, congratulated the 'Dardans', coached by Franco Foda, who won 0-2 against Slovenia in Ljubljana and thus closed Group B in second place.
"A great day for Albanian football! The Albanian Football Federation (AFH) welcomes with joy and special emotion the historic achievement of Kosovo, which for the first time secures a place in the PLAY-OFF of a World Cup. This is certainly a victory that every Albanian feels, wherever they live and, as President Armand Duka emphasized, it is a moment of double pride for our nation.
"Congratulations to the Football Federation of Kosovo and the entire management team for this extraordinary success! Let's continue to dream together and write history in Albanian football," the FSHF writes on its official website.
