Harry Kane before the match with Albania: It doesn't matter who we play, we

Striker and England captain Harry Kane spoke to the media ahead of the match against Albania.

Although they have secured participation in next year's World Cup, the "Three Lions" striker has no intention of giving up:

His current form?

I've had good moments throughout my career, but I think overall, physically, mentally, of course the goals, the way I'm involved in the game, I admit that I'm experiencing the best form of my career. Playing for England, I always feel like I'm playing for one of the best national teams. That's the same with Bayern, I feel like we're in a really good moment. So far this season, it's been really good.

Confrontation with Albania?

It doesn't matter who the opponent is, we have to try to reach our best level. Tomorrow will be no different.

Change of national team coach?

There is a change in terms of the way we work and how things go. We had a transition period between Gareth Southgate and Thomas Tuchel, which I spoke about last November and it has been a big change. I think everyone feels ready to be part of the German coach's ideas. The players want to come and show what they can do in training, in matches. They also want to show the coach that they deserve to be selected for next summer and that is more or less the message after the match against Latvia. I know everyone is in the middle of the season, it is a difficult time to play every three or four days, it is important that I still have time to build a clear strategy for what we can do at the World Cup.

Competition?

There's a lot of competition for a lot of positions. I think the players more or less know their positions, where they're going to play, who their competition is, and I think that allows them to come to the national team and feel free and know, 'okay, I have to work hard, I have to train well, I have to impress the coach.'

What do you expect from the World Cup?

Everyone wants to be part of a World Cup. It's the biggest tournament you can play in your professional career, so I think naturally there's more motivation.
