Diego Armando Maradona Sinagra, the son of football legend Diego Armando Maradona, has made strong statements regarding the trial underway in Argentina over his father's death. In an interview with the Spanish show "El Chiringuito," he directly accused the doctors and nurses who treated Maradona, blaming them for murder.
" I am following the trial closely and it is a very difficult period for our family. We are facing difficult times, but we are prepared," said Maradona Jr., who is currently the coach of Spanish club UD Ibarra. He supported the theory of lawyer Fernando Burlando, claiming that his father was "heinously murdered" in what he called a "house of horrors ."
According to him, the doctors did not intervene in time and did nothing to save Maradona.
“ If they had treated him properly, he would still be alive,” he stressed. He also raised suspicions that in addition to medical negligence, there was also mismanagement of his father’s wealth. “I am convinced that not only did they not take care of him, but they also stole his money ,” he added.
The trial into Maradona's death has attracted international media attention and is expected to reveal whether doctors and nurses were responsible for the inappropriate treatment that led to the death of one of football's greatest icons.
